My name is Chris Bowden, founder of Second Chance Financial Group, and this mission is more than a business. It is my life's purpose.
I spent a total of seven years incarcerated in the Texas prison system after making decisions that changed the course of my life. I also struggled with addiction from a young age, and I know firsthand how difficult it can be to break old patterns, rebuild your confidence, and create a new future.
Since then, I have worked hard to rebuild my own life. I have held jobs, started businesses, experienced setbacks, celebrated successes, and learned that real change is possible when someone has the right guidance, support, and opportunity.
Those experiences became the foundation for Second Chance Financial Group.
I created SCF because I believe every person deserves the opportunity to build a better future. Too often, people genuinely want to change but do not know where to begin or which direction to follow. My goal is to provide the guidance, education, and support I wish I had when I was rebuilding my own life.
SCF is about more than improving credit. It is about restoring confidence, creating opportunities, and helping people move forward with purpose.
My past does not define me. It prepared me to serve others with empathy, understanding, and conviction.
Everyone deserves a second chance. Sometimes all it takes is one person to believe in you and show you the way.
